What research topics are you particularly interested in at the moment?

The question of how we can make it so that employment relationships in the future are shaped the way we want them to be. And how companies, educational institutions and trade unions and politics can work better together to develop such employment relationships.

For which target group and context is this research particularly relevant?

All those involved in shaping employment relationships and who want to include different interests in their decisions.

What specific projects and publications are you currently working on (max. 3)?

I am currently analysing the conditions for establishing diversity-friendly language in the workplace and the role of technologies (especially decoders) in this. My team has developed a decoder called JADE , which was awarded by the Ministry of Science in December 2022. Article: Diversitas Award Ceremony

Which of your completed projects have been particularly significant for the development of your own expertise?

The evaluation of the effects of legally mandatory salary information in job advertisements on salary expectations of job seekers. Here I was again able to perfectly combine my expertise in corporate HR policy with my knowledge of political science (my primary field of study).

On which topic did you do your doctorate and habilitation (incl. when and where)?

Die Legitimität von Personalabteilungen (PhD WU Vienna 2004).

Managerial action in an institutional context - essays on the social reproduction of social actors (Habilitation Vienna University of Economics and Business, 2011).

How do you combine research and teaching at the faculty? Briefly describe an example.

Transfer of research to the students: current research results are clearly prepared for the courses and discussed with the course participants.

Why do you like working as a professor at the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Innsbruck?

Because I get to lead a very committed and competent team.
