Assoziierte Professorin am Institut für Balkanistik der Bulgarischen Akademie der Wissenschaften mit Forschungsschwerpunkten in der mittelalterlichen Rhetorik, in mittelalterlichen slawischen Übersetzungen aus dem Griechischen sowie in der diachronen Linguistik. Sie ist Autorin zahlreicher Publikationen und an internationalen Projekten beteiligt. 

An der Universität Innsbruck verantwortet sie die wissenschaftliche Konzeption und Leitung des Online-Referenztools REGEST – der digitalen Forschungsinfrastruktur, die den FWF-geförderten Innsbrucker Teil des gemeinsamen WEAVE-Projekts „The Slavonic Metaphrasis of Byzantine Orthodoxy“ (in Kooperation mit der KU Leuven) bildet. Als natürliche Fortsetzung dieser Arbeit entwirft sie das konzeptionelle Framework für ein zugehöriges Pilotkorpus paralleler Texte (mittelalterliche slawische Übersetzungen und die jeweiligen griechischen Originalwerke), das als skalierbare Plattform für zukünftige drittmittelfinanzierte Editionsprojekte angelegt ist.
