Rilind obtained his BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Prishtina (Kosovo), followed by an MSc in Sports Physiotherapy from the Lithuanian Sports University (Lithuania). In 2025, he completed his PhD within the international programme Science and Health in Football at the Institute of Sports and Preventive Medicine, Saarland University (Germany). His doctoral research focused on injury prevention in youth football. Alongside his academic career, Rilind has been extensively involved with the Football Federation of Kosovo over several years. He is currently a PostDoc at the Department of Sport Science, University of Innsbruck, as part of the research group led by Anne Hecksteden.
