Hensler Sophia

Sophia completed her Bachelor’s degree in Sport Science at the University of Innsbruck and her Master’s degree in Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Salzburg. Alongside the Master's degree, she received accreditation as a training therapist. The Master’s thesis focused on the influence of body composition on the validity and reliability of a wearable stride and respiration sensor. Additionally, she acquired coaching qualifications, including state-certified judo instructor, lifeguard and diploma in self-defense. Sophia is currently pursuing her PhD in the research group led by Prof. Dr. Anne Hecksteden. Her doctoral research focuses on the performance and wellbeing across the menstrual cycle in female athletes, with particular emphasis on individual patterns.
