Alpine Finance Summit 2024

The Alpine Finance Summit (AFS) is an exclusive, high-caliber conference dedicated to the presentation and discussion of cutting-edge academic finance research. Inspired by the successful format of winter finance conferences, the AFS uniquely blends rigorous academic exchange with an enriching social program featuring summer outdoor activities, including hiking and mountain biking.

Over four days, participants engaged in insightful academic paper presentations, networking events, and a variety of outdoor adventures, creating an exceptional environment for scholarly dialogue and personal connection.

Highlights of the summit included the Alpine Keynote Speech delivered by Paul Guschlbauer, a professional paraglider renowned for multiple podium finishes in the Red Bull X-Alps. Equally noteworthy was the academic keynote by Michael Weber, held at the Restaurant "SKY" at Bergisel, where he explored the pivotal role of subjective inflation expectations of households and firms in contemporary macroeconomic and intertemporal microeconomic models.
