About me
I am an environmental scientist working at the interface of terrestrial biogeochemistry, aquatic systems and atmospheric science. I use stable isotopes and radiocarbon to identify carbon sources, constrain their ages and reveal transformation pathways that are otherwise difficult to resolve. More info about my work can be found on my personal webpage.
Research interests
Terrestrial–aquatic carbon cycling and land–atmosphere greenhouse-gas exchange, with emphasis on old carbon and methane mobilisation from river and peatland systems
Isotope and radiocarbon geochemistry for tracing carbon sources, ages and transformation pathways across Arctic, Alpine, and urban environments
Atmospheric systematics of greenhouse gases and short-lived climate forcers
Projects
DRY-SOC (2026-2030): “Constraining drought impacts on soil carbon dynamics ” PI: Sanjeev Dasari.
At the University of Innsbruck, I lead the DRY-SOC project funded by the FWF-ESPRIT grant.
Publications
