The New Year's Reception was the university's internal starting signal for the anniversary celebrations, which were prepared by numerous university members in several years of intensive preparatory work with great motivation and a wealth of ideas.

A special anniversary stamp of Austrian Post was issued for the New Year reception and can be sent around the world as an ambassador for the anniversary and the University of Innsbruck.
