Do you want to know where lightning strikes right now?

Have you ever noticed that there is more rain and thunder in the Nordkette than above the city? The Faculty of Geo- and Atmospheric Sciences investigates such weather phenomena and tells us that in the Inn valley thunderstorms mostly pass along the mountain ranges on both sides of the valley, but the prevailing weather comes from the west along the Nordkette. This is the reason why there are actually more lightning strikes in the mountains. So maybe it is not a coincidence that Frau Hitt was petrified there of all places ...
