On 22.01.2024, Dr. Julia Lamberikx successfully defended her Doctoral Thesis with the titel "Characterization of photoresist adhesion to copper for wet chemical etching applications".


Beamtime at the European XFEL

Members of the "ice-group" visited the European XFEL, one of the wolds largest X-ray lasers. Together with the groups of Katrin Amann-Winkel from MPI Mainz and Felix Lehmkühler from DESY,  they studied the dynamics of deeply supercooled water (T < 130K). Water under these conditions may also be found in space.

On 10.05.2023, Shadi Fatayer from KAUST university gave a talk about the state-of-the-art in single-molecule excitation with STM/AFM. He visited the surface chemistry group for two weeks for measurements at the STM.

Ausflug Westliche Hochgrubachspitze

Viele unserer Institutsmitglieder eint neben der Chemie auch noch ein weiteres Hobby  - der Bergsport. Deshalb machten wir uns am 03. Juli 2019 auf den Weg zur Westlichen Hochgrubachspitze im Wilden Kaiser. Nach dem erfolgreichen Aufstieg trafen wir uns mit den restlichen Institutsmitgliedern noch am Hintersteiner See um den Tag mit gutem Essen und kalten Getränken ausklingen zu lassen.

Der Hauptpreis für Forschungs- und Studienprojekte ging an Norbert Hermann Köpfele und Kevin Plonerfür das Gemeinschaftsprojekt „Entwicklung eines Optimierungsverfahrens für heterogene Katalysatoren am Beispiel der Methan-Trockenreformierung zur Erzeugung von Synthesegas aus CH4 und CO2“.

Ausflug Westliche Hochgrubachspitze

Viele unserer Institutsmitglieder eint neben der Chemie auch noch ein weiteres Hobby  - der Bergsport. Deshalb machten wir uns am 03. Juli 2019 auf den Weg zur Westlichen Hochgrubachspitze im Wilden Kaiser. Nach dem erfolgreichen Aufstieg trafen wir uns mit den restlichen Institutsmitgliedern noch am Hintersteiner See um den Tag mit gutem Essen und kalten Getränken ausklingen zu lassen.
