On Air: 30 Semesters of MA Peace Studies

Listen to Radio Freirad’s KulturTon featuring 30 semesters of the MA Program in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Innsbruck.

In this feature UNESCO Chairholder Wolfgang Dietrich speaks about the historical context of the founding moment of the MA program, the development of Innsbruck’s Peace Studies and its central concepts: transrationality and elicitive conflict transformation. Both, students and alumni provide insights about the program by sharing some of their experiences and by reflecting upon what makes it so special. They also address how the content of the teachings support them in their professional career as peace and conflict workers.

The voices you hear were captured at the 30th Jubilee Opening Ceremony of the Winter Term 2019/20 which took place on January 17, 2020. If you had missed this event or would like to see it again, stay tuned as a full video will be uploaded to this homepage soon.

We thank Anna Greissing and the Radio Freirad for this very special contribution about the MA Program in Peace, Development, Security and International Conflict Transformation.
