Sustainable Development Goals

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are at the heart of the United Nations Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development. They offer a new worldwide political framework to tackle global challenges, e.g. to end poverty of all kinds, combating inequalities and counteract climate change.

Universities pursue sustainability activities not only in education and research, but also in operations management or third mission activities. They are included in cross-departmental key projects and initiatives such as Aurora and beyond.
