We are delighted to welcome Dr Charlotte Pizer to her new role as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Geology!
Charlotte enriches our team not only with her impressive expertise, but also with fresh ideas and new perspectives.
Building on her IODP-based research on the paleoseismology of the Japan Trench, which she has developed over the past two years, Charlotte will now also be active in teaching and will enthusiastically contribute to sedimentology-oriented courses.
Her comprehensive expertise in natural hazards stems from her research on coastal sediments, extreme event deposits and scientific ocean drilling.
Charlotte is looking forward to further advancing the scientific excellence of our institute and actively contributing to its positive, inspiring atmosphere.
