Nataliia Sorokina, Doctor of Philosophy, Pedagogical Sciences 

Dr. Nataliia Sorokina is a linguist and educator specializing in the methods of teaching Ukrainian and foreign languages. She holds a PhD in pedagogical sciences, the didactics of foreign languages, with her research focusing on the development of professional foreign language competence with multimedia technologies.

Before joining the University of Innsbruck in 2022, she served as an Associate Professor at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, where she also earned her academic title of Associate Professor in 2021. Throughout her career, Dr. Sorokina has authored over 80 academic publications, including contributions to collective volumes, textbooks, manuals, and methodological guidelines.

She actively participates in national and international conferences and has organised and conducted numerous professional workshops and academic events. Dr. Sorokina is a member of several scholarly associations, including UALTA, Verbal, and AASTEEL. For more than a decade, she has contributed to the Ukrainian Competition of Young Researchers, serving as a long-standing jury member and, more recently, as Head of the Jury for the Kyiv region (Ukraine).

Her current work combines teaching, research, and curriculum development in Ukrainian language and Slavic studies.
