The excursion began with a company presentation and inspiring perspectives from former University of Innsbruck students who are now working at HILTI. Participants then toured Plant 4, gaining first-hand insights into the company's production processes and manufacturing operations.
Following a joint lunch, the program continued with engaging presentations on Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and detailed scheduling. These sessions offered students a deeper understanding of how key planning and coordination processes are implemented in practice and how they contribute to operational excellence.

We sincerely thank Simon Jutz, Fabian Vogler, Alexander Schollemann, Oliver Fachinger, René Gabriel and the entire HILTI team for their warm hospitality and for organizing such an informative and insightful field trip. Visits like these provide an excellent opportunity to connect academic learning with real-world business practice and strengthen the collaboration between industry and academia.
