I am Mehdi Joneidi, a civil engineer and researcher in geotechnical engineering with a focus on advanced constitutive soil modeling. My research centers on the numerical simulation of static, cyclic, and seismic soil behavior, with particular emphasis on soil–structure interaction. I have extensive experience in the implementation and validation of advanced constitutive soil models through UMAT/VUMAT subroutines in ABAQUS and PLAXIS. My work emphasizes model formulation, numerical simulation, and validation against laboratory tests, centrifuge experiments, and boundary-value problem analyses. I am currently a PhD student in Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Innsbruck under the supervision of Prof. Barbara Schneider-Muntau and Ass. Prof. Gertraud Medicus. My additional research interests include computational and experimental soil mechanics, as well as laboratory and field soil testing.
