Yearly Picture Contest

The Research Centre for Geodynamics and Geomaterials is running a yearly picture contest.

To attend please submit your most beautiful geological pictures (these can include spectacular field pictures, microscopic and submicroscopic pictures, processed analysis, etc.) including a short description.

During our Geo-picture party (date will be announced at a later stage) we will vote for the 13 best pictures. The winning pics will be included in our Geo-Calendar.

Who can attend: Active (enrolled) students and staff members of the Institute of Mineralogy and Petrography and the Department of Geology.

Submission opens on the 01.03.2026 and closes on the 31.05.2026.
