Erasure Poetry in MAGAmerica - A Conversation with Award-Winning Poet Mark Nowak

For the fourth installment of Sounds of Erasure - the ongoing interview series of the Erasure Poetry Project- Mahshid Mayar and Sandra Tausel were joined by Mark Nowak, an award-winning poet, social critic, and labor activist. The author of Revenants (2000), Shut Up Shut Down (2004), Coal Mountain Elementary (2009), and Social Poetics (2020), came on to discuss erasure both as a documentary method and a form of sonic material in his newest poetry collection titled . . . AGAIN (2026).
