The lectures take place on the premises of the University of Innsbruck. If this is not possible (e.g. because of the corona pandemic), we offer the courses online.

Admission Requirements

The University Preparation Programme is open to persons, who have been admitted to a regular university study programme by the rectorate of the University of Innsbruck under the condition that they 

  • pass the supplementary examination to prove sufficient knowledge of the German language and 
  • possibly one or several supplementary examinations in other subjects before they start the regular university study programme.

Modules

The university preparation programme starts from level A2.

Module German – Independent Language Use I (Target Level B1+):

Language skills corresponding to level B1+. Text interpretation strategies and techniques for independently improving in particular receptive skills. Imparting of basic linguistic actions for studying.

Module German – Independent Language Use II (Target Level B2 / B2+):

Language skills corresponding to level B2 in the field of productive skills and B2+ in the field of receptive skills. Imparting of complex linguistic actions for studying, introduction to writing scientific papers.

Persons, who have already successfully passed a module, advance to the next-level module.

for the winter semester from July to October
for the summer semester from January to March
