- Main Topics: Tourism and leisure industry (including destination management, customer experiences, travel behaviour, SMEs and entrepreneurship, etc.)

Information about doctoral studies
You also have the opportunity to complete a doctorate related to the leisure industry or tourism at the UMIT TIROL.
In cooperation with Univ.-Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Schobersberger, we supervise theses that focus on the intersections between sports, health and tourism.
To do so, you must be enrolled in the doctoral programme "Sports Medicine, Health Tourism and Leisure Science" at the UMIT TIROL.
Possible topics and projects for dissertation projects in the doctoral programme:
- "Work-life balance in tourism: influences and measures to increase the WLB of employees"
- "The sustainable impact of health tourism products and services: back to everyday life"
- "The importance of sport and health in the holiday decision-making process"
- "Leisure behaviou revisited: Leisure tickets & combined offers and their effect on leisure behaviour"
