Using the freeware CoolProp (http://www.coolprop.org/), a heat pump circuit is calculated in the T-h and lg p-h diagram for various refrigerants with subcooling, superheating and heat source and heat sink conditions. COPs are calculated in different variations for heating and cooling and the ratio of COP Carnot (L7W35 - heat source inlet and heat sink outlet) and actually achievable COP with isentropic efficiency and electrical efficiency of the compressor. In addition, the size of the heat exchanger (condenser/evaporator) can be specified by entering the temperature differences between the source/sink and refrigerant.
