Dynamics of Work, Care and Gender

This research area examines processes and interactions between institutions, relationships, and social practices. Key themes include the future of work, care, and gender relations. (Paid) work and care constitute two - closely intertwined - cornerstones of human societies and socialization. Both shape societies through the (re)production of class and gender relations. Against the backdrop of major societal trends such as digitalization and globalization, new tensions are emerging that need to be analyzed.
