Project: “Recognition of prior learning for BHS graduates to promote educational mobility”
Through this project, the University of Innsbruck, in collaboration with the Tyrolean higher education institutions of the Tyrolean Higher Education Conference, the Province of Tyrol and the Provincial School Board, aims to develop procedures that ensure that graduates of vocational upper secondary schools (BHS) receive information at an early stage about credits that can be recognised, thereby enabling them to plan their further education and training. The aim of the project is to identify overlaps between secondary and tertiary education programmes and to promote quality-assured permeability at a regional level. This collaborative work is also intended to contribute to the innovative further development of Tyrol as a centre of higher education.
At the University of Innsbruck, the project’s coordination office (1 full-time equivalent) was established within the Unit for the Bologna Process and Teaching Development. The project ran for three years. It was funded by the Province of Tyrol. Even after the project has ended, information on eligibility criteria will continue to be kept up to date on the website.
