Open Aurora Courses at the University of Iceland - Autumn 2026
The University of Iceland is offering five international Aurora courses for the Autumn 2026 semester: three virtual courses, one blended course, and one Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) combining online learning with an on-site week in Reykjavík. The courses are open to bachelor’s and master’s students and cover topics such as sustainability, marine resources, sustainable finance, volunteering projects, and biotechnology in the food industry.

European Universities: Perspektiven aus AURORA
Wie sehen die Hochschulen der Zukunft aus? Diese Frage stand im Zentrum der Veranstaltung „Impulse für die Hochschulstrategie 2040: European Universities als Innovationstreiber für die Hochschulen der Zukunft!?“, die am 28. April im Wiener MuseumsQuartier stattfand. Vertreter:innen aus Politik, Hochschulen und europäischen Netzwerken kamen dort zum Austausch zusammen.
UPEC Summer School 2026
The Aurora Summer School “Emerging Futures: Societal Innovation Meets Futures Studies” will take place from 9–19 June 2026 at the Université Paris-Est Créteil in France. It brings together students from Aurora partner universities to explore future-oriented approaches to societal challenges through interdisciplinary learning.
VU Amsterdam Summer School 2026
The Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) will once again host its Summer School in 2026, taking place on the university’s campus in Amsterdam.
Students can choose from four intensive courses that address contemporary topics such as sustainability, entrepreneurship, and artificial intelligence in education and leadership.
Aurora Call for Incentive Research and Education Collaboration
Aurora European Universities launches the Call for Incentive Research & Education Collaboration 2026, a unique funding initiative connecting research and education. The call supports innovative collaborative research projects, thematic schools, and short-term mobility for early-stage researchers across six transdisciplinary hubs: Sustainability, Digital Society, Health and Wellbeing, Culture, Social Entrepreneurship, and Peace Education.
Aurora begrüßt University of Sussex als Partner
Das Aurora Universities Network erweitert ihr internationales Partnernetzwerk: Die University of Sussex ist seit Februar 2026 neuer Strategischer Partner des Netzwerks. Die Zusammenarbeit wurde durch die Unterzeichnung eines Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) offiziell besiegelt und markiert einen wichtigen Schritt hin zu einer möglichen Vollmitgliedschaft der britischen Universität ab Ende 2026.
BIP Course on Learning Outcomes in University for Impact on Society (LOUIS)
This Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) takes place at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and focuses on using the LOUIS framework to integrate transversal competences into higher education teaching.
