JPIM Meet-the-Editor Session
Professor Minu Kumar from San Francisco State University (SFSU)
Join Professor Minu Kumar, Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Product Innovation Management (JPIM), for an interactive session on publishing cutting-edge research in innovation management. As the flagship journal of the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA), JPIM publishes high-impact, interdisciplinary research spanning marketing, strategy, design, engineering, entrepreneurship, and operations. With an Impact Factor of 8.0 (2024) and an acceptance rate of approximately 5%, JPIM is among the leading journals in innovation research. The session will provide insights into the journal’s mission, review and editorial processes, common reasons for desk rejection, and emerging research opportunities in areas such as generative AI, responsible innovation, sustainability, business model innovation, and open innovation. The session will also introduce developmental initiatives such as the Reviewer Development Program, JPIM Research Forum, and the PDMA Doctoral Consortium.
