because the Senate is one of the three governing bodies of our university and is therefore involved in far-reaching decisions,
because as the second largest employee group at the university, we only have one voice and it is therefore all the more important that we do not just do this for anyone, but that we work together and actively for the general staff,
because we have the competence and the courage to argue our concerns strongly and to introduce them into the discussion and thus score points,
because we want to modernise and improve our university as an employer together with all like-minded people,
because we are convinced that colleagues in a publicly funded organisation should have more insight into the appointment and activities of the governing bodies,
because the Senate not only has a say in the election of the Rector's team or appoints representatives to the University Council and many committees and working groups (e.g. the AKG), but also helps to shape the future of our university (development and organisational plan).
