Welcome to the Department of Environmental Engineering!

We are part of the Institute for Infrastructure at the Faculty of Technical Sciences of the largest research and educational institution in Western Austria, the University of Innsbruck.

We deal with environmental engineering issues (protection of the environment from human influence and protection of people from the environment) in research and teaching. One of our main focuses is the investigation of regional (alpine) problems with the aim of developing sustainable technical solutions.
