A Quantum Escape Game for the Classroom
Quantum@School brings modern physics into schools through an interactive escape game based on key ideas from quantum mechanics. Students work together to solve riddles inspired by real quantum phenomena, while developing curiosity, teamwork, and critical thinking. After the game, a researcher explains the science behind the challenges and gives students a glimpse into the world of quantum research.
For researchers:
Are you a PhD student or postdoc interested in science outreach?
Quantum@School offers a ready-to-use outreach format for engaging with young people. The escape game creates the first spark of curiosity; the discussion afterwards connects the experience to real quantum science and current research.
Materials are prepared, and the format is structured. You bring their expertise, perspective, and enthusiasm.
Please note that all Quantum@School materials are currently only available in German, and the program is generally conducted in German. Schools may, however, indicate if they would prefer the visit to be held in English, and we will take this into account when organizing a suitable researcher visit.
