Information on preparing for the formal oral evaluation:
This formal interview primarily assesses oral skills in the respective foreign language and not content (economics) or (prior) knowledge.
The assessment is based on the CEFR descriptors.
The most important categories are listed separately for each language.
The possible questions (e.g., about the person or current topics) allow students to demonstrate their language skills.
English:
Spoken language use B2
Spoken production:
Can give clear, detailed descriptions and presentations on a wide range of subjects related to his/her field of interest, expanding and supporting ideas with subsidiary points and relevant examples.
Range:
Has a sufficient range of language to be able to give clear descriptions, express viewpoints on most general topics, without much conspicuous searching for words, using some complex sentence forms to do so.
Accuracy:
Shows a relatively high degree of grammatical control. Does not make errors which cause misunderstanding, and can correct most of his/her mistakes.
Fluency:
Can produce stretches of language with a fairly even tempo; although he/she can be hesitant as he or she searches for patterns and expressions, there are few noticeably long pauses.
Interaction:
Can communicate spontaneously with good grammatical control without much sign of having to restrict what he/she wants to say, adopting a level of formality appropriate to the circumstances. Can initiate discourse, take his/her turn when appropriate and end conversation when he / she needs to.
Coherence:
Can use a limited number of cohesive devices to link his/her utterances into clear, coherent discourse, though there may be some "jumpiness" in a long contribution.
Französisch

Ability to develop coherent ideas in short, simple sentences that are linked by common connectors (e.g., “therefore,” “so,” “also”).
Fluency
Ability to express oneself coherently and comprehensibly.
Comprehensible pronunciation.
Accuracy
Errors do not lead to misunderstandings.
Vocabulary
Sufficient to cope with everyday situations such as work, cultural differences, and current events.
Lexical inaccuracies are acceptable when the candidate attempts to explore a topic in depth.
Communication
Linguistic repertoire that enables the candidate to cope with the given situations.
Ability to conduct a conversation spontaneously, understand and respond appropriately.
Italienisch
At B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), the learner is able to understand the main points of a speech, provided that clear and standard language is used and that the topics are familiar, such as work, school, leisure activities, etc.
He/She is able to express his/her opinion in a simple and coherent way on familiar topics or topics related to his/her personal interests.
He/She can describe experiences or events, explain hopes or goals, and give brief explanations about an idea or a project.
The interview will focus on a dialogue between the teacher and the student based on topics related to school, work, personal interests, past experiences, and future goals.
The student must be able to speak clearly and coherently, explaining and justifying his/her opinions and using grammatical structures and vocabulary appropriate to the B1 level.
Spanisch
Coherence
Produces linear sequences of related ideas in the form of short, simple utterances linked by common connectors (e.g. “es que”, “por eso”, “además”). Maintains simple conversations on everyday topics, although occasional clarification may be needed or parts of the interlocutor’s utterances may be repeated to confirm understanding.
Fluency
Speaks continuously and intelligibly, although pauses to plan speech and to think about appropriate grammar and lexis may be clearly noticeable. Pronunciation is clearly intelligible, though a foreign accent may be evident and occasional errors may occur.
Accuracy
Shows reasonable control of a repertoire of simple structures (e.g. indicative tenses, possessives, the verb gustar, basic periphrastic constructions). Errors occur but do not lead to misunderstanding.
Range
Has a sufficiently wide linguistic repertoire to manage everyday situations and to express him-/herself, albeit somewhat hesitantly and with circumlocutions, on topics such as family, hobbies and interests, work, travel and current events. Lexical inaccuracies and imprecision occur when taking risks.
Holistic Scale
Provides the information required to fulfil the communicative aim of the tasks. Has a simple linguistic repertoire that enables him-/her to cope with the situations presented, with errors that do not interfere with the transmission of ideas. Maintains conversations and exchanges information, although occasional clarification may be needed and parts of the interlocutor’s speech may be repeated to confirm mutual understanding.
