„UIBK - Guest Professors“ 
at the University Innsbruck

For the 2026/2027 academic year, the University of Innsbruck offers up to eight “UIBK - Guest Professorships” acc. to §26 of the Collective Contract for a duration of two months each. The initiative aims to promote top-level international scientific and didactic exchange with the University of Innsbruck and to support internationalisation on site.

Candidates, who have a public sector employment contract with a renowned university or research institution outside of Austria, can be considered for a UIBK-Guest-Professorship. Please also consider candidates from the AURORA European University Alliance. All 16 faculties, the 8 research areas and the CGI research platform of the University of Innsbruck are eligible to apply. Only two applications per faculty/research area are possible.

The call for proposals will be issued to all faculties or research areas of the University of Innsbruck.

„UIBK – Wittgenstein Guest Professors“ 
at the University Innsbruck

For the 2026/2027 academic year, the University of Innsbruck offers one „UIBK – Wittgenstein Guest Professorship“ acc. to §26 of the Collective Contract for a duration of one month. The initiative aims to promote top-level international scientific and didactic exchange with the Universität Innsbruck, especially in the fields of Wittgenstein research (with an editorial and cultural focus), as well as philosophy of language and literature, and is targeted to support internationalization on site.

Candidates, who have a public sector employment contract with a renowned university or research institution outside of Austria, can be considered for an LFUI-Guest-Professorship. Please also consider candidates from the AURORA European University Alliance. All 16 faculties, the 8 research areas and the CGI research platform of the University of Innsbruck are eligible to apply. Only two applications per faculty/research area are possible.

„UIBK – Gender Guest Professors“ 
at the University Innsbruck

For the 2026/2027 academic year, the University of Innsbruck offers one “UIBK - Gender Guest Professorships” acc. to §26 of the Collective Contract for a duration of two months. The initiative aims to promote top-level international scientific and didactic exchange in the field of gender research and teaching across faculties, particularly in disciplines and faculties where Gender Studies has so far been less established (including STEM fields), and to support internationalisation on site.

Candidates, who have a public sector employment contract with a renowned university or research institution outside of Austria, can be considered for an UIBK – Gender Guest Professorship. Please also consider candidates from the AURORA European University Alliance. For the 2026/2027 call for proposals, applications may be submitted by the Faculties of Architecture, Biology, and Chemistry and Pharmacy.
