Wel­come LFUI guest: Masarah Paquet-Clous­ton

Masarah Paquet-Clouston is a professor of criminology at the Université de Montréal and the director of the EconCrimeLab. With an interdisciplinary background in economics, criminology, and cybersecurity, her research focuses on economic crime facilitated by emerging information technologies.

In Spring 2025, Masarah Paquet-Clouston was invited by Professor Rainer Böhme, head of the Security and Privacy Lab, to foster interdisciplinary research and discussion at the intersection of crime, privacy, and security. During her stay, she also teaches a graduate-level course on Quantitative Methods in Cybercrime, where students gain hands-on experience working with and analyzing real-world cybercrime data.
