RoboCup Junior Austrian Open 2026 - Young Engineers Enthuse the Campus of Engineering
On 9 and 10 April 2026, the University of Innsbruck's Campus Technik became a centre for young robotics talent. Around 350 participants in 110 teams from all over Austria and Croatia - including ten from Tyrol - put their technical skills to the test at the RoboCupJunior Austrian Open. One team from Innsbruck achieved a particular success on site.

Events
24.04.2026 is Austria's largest event dedicated to science, research, and innovation, and is aimed at all age groups. The event takes place every two years throughout Austria. IFI presents current research projects, interactive demonstrations, and insights into ongoing innovations with an AI booth and five research booths.

Alexander Simon Häle will present his thesis "Toward Human-Level Grading of Programming Assignments (10% Deviation): Using LLMs for Automated Performance Evaluation" in SR 2 (ICT building) at 13:00. Interested colleagues are very welcome!
The Inaugural Lecture will take place in "Großer Hörsaal" starting at 5 pm. Please register by April 20, 2026 at the latest.

The Day of Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics will take place on Tuesday, February 23, 2027, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Technology Campus. The event is specifically aimed at pupils in the last two years of secondary school who are interested in studying at MIP.
