The pupils were given insights into two specialist areas: In the Computer Science learning lab, they worked on applications from the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics. As well as having lots of fun, they programmed a robot that was controlled using gesture recognition and completed a course - competing eagerly for the best times. In biology, the focus was on the topic of soil animals, which was vividly conveyed with the help of an interactive virtual reality experiment - including some surprising moments of shock and horror.
The long-standing collaboration with BRG Sillgasse forms an important basis for the exchange between school and university and provides practical insights into current research and technology topics in Computer Science.
