Part-time position (20 hours per week) as a technical assistant (m/f/d) from August 2025 for max. 3 years (externally funded project)
Our research group at the Institute of Biomedical Ageing Research at the University of Innsbruck is investigating the formation and function of B lymphocytes and the mechanisms behind the decline in the physiology of these cells in the ageing immune system.
Qualifications: completed BMA/MTA training or current/completed BA degree in biology, biochemistry or an equivalent field of biosciences; very good written and spoken English.
Profile: You have experience with molecular biology (e.g. cloning and PCR), biochemistry (e.g. Western blotting) and basic biology methods (e.g. preparation of solutions). You are a team player, independent and like to take the initiative.
Tasks: General laboratory activities, especially genotyping by PCR, preparation of buffers and solutions, organisation of the laboratory, processing of vectors (e.g. DNA preparation, restriction digestion, bacterial transformation), collaboration in experiments
Minimum gross salary: EUR 1,350 (14x) for 50% employment (20 hours per week). The actual starting salary may be higher depending on training, qualifications and previous experience and will increase during the course of employment.
