PhD theses are a core element of university research. Accordingly, our Research Area strives to support early career researchers at the University of Innsbruck. Five Doctoral Colleges under the umbrella of our Research Area provide a network and structure to produce excellent doctoral theses, guided by supervision of the respective faculty members. In addition, we offer various networking activities, support for doctoral students, and, for example, a scholarship program that has been running for many years, enabling young scientists to spend four weeks conducting research in Innsbruck and engaging in dialogue with local scientists.
