Every year, the Faculties of Business and Management and Economics and Statistics give the Student-of-the-Year Award in Management and Economics to students of the Bachelor's Programme in Management and Economics, the Diploma Programme International Economics and Business Studies and the Bachelor's Programme International Economics and Business Studies. The award is funded by the Bank Austria Foundation for the Promotion of Science and Research at the University of Innsbruck. Students must achieve outstanding results in their studies and show great social and entrepreneurial commitment.
Prerequisites for application are an average grade of 2.0 or better and the completion of at least 13 modules in the core and support areas within 4 semesters. Special attention is also paid to social commitment. All applicants who fulfil these requirements are included in the Deans' List and receive a certificate issued by the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Statistics, which is presented at an awards ceremony. The prize is awarded every year in summer.
