Arrival and Transport
ARRIVING BY CAR
Innsbruck is connected to major European motorways arriving from the north (Western Europe and Germany via Munich), from the south (Italy via Verona), from the west (Switzerland via Zurich) and from the east (Hungary via Vienna).
*From Vienna: A12 motorway.
*From Switzerland: A12 motorway. Through the Arlberg Road Tunnel or toll-free via the Arlberg region.
*From Italy: A13 (Brenner motorway); tolls apply from the exit Innsbruck-Süd.
*From Germany: Via A93 (Kufstein) or toll-free via Seefeld (Garmisch-Partenkirchen) or via Fernpass and A7 motorway.
ARRIVING BY RAIL
Innsbruck’s main railway station is located at Südtiroler Platz, within easy walking distance to the city centre and the University. The city is connected to the European Inter-City railway network, daily trains reach Innsbruck from all over Europe, e.g., regular and frequent direct connections to:

ARRIVING BY PLANE

You reach the city centre by taking the bus F (every 15 minutes).

There are direct connections with the FLiXBUS to several destinations in Europe, e.g., Munich International Airport (about 3 hours) or Zurich (< 4 hours).
