Legalization with an apostille
Legalization guidelines
Due to the country of issue (member state of the Hague Legalization Convention) of the uploaded documents, legalizations with an apostille are required for them.
According to Article 4 of the Hague Convention, the apostille must be attached to the original documents. Information on which authority in the respective country is responsible for the certification can be found at the following link: http://www.hcch.net/index_de.php?act=conventions.authorities&cid=41
Translation guidelines
Documents can be submitted in German or English. If the language of issue of the original documents is different, they have to be officially translated.
The translation must be carried out by registered or court-sworn translators and linked to the originals inseparably.
Please note:
- The original document must bear all the necessary certification stamps before translation.
- All stamps/seals and certification notes on the document (including those on the back of the document) have to be translated.
