General requirements regarding the application
Bachelor's/Diploma programme
- Proof of German proficiency
- Proof of general university entrance qualification:
original school leaving certificate (with list of grades), each with an official translation by a sworn translator, if not issued in German or English (except, if issued in Italy), and with legalization
or original Bachelor´s degree certificate and academic transcript (Diploma Supplement), all verifiable, each with legalization, each with an official translation by a sworn translator, if not issued in German or English
or similar - additional proof to establish the general university entrance qualification (supplementary exams, Studienkolleg, university entrance exam, et all)
- Photo according to passport photo criteria
- Valid ID card
- Tabular CV

Admission to a Bachelor's degree programme at the UIBK is not possible on the basis of a school-leaving certificate from Afghanistan.
Exception:
If you have studied for an additional 2 years, your application will be reviewed individually.
Admission to a Bachelor's degree programme at the UIBK is not possible on the basis of a school-leaving certificate from Bangladesh.
Exception:
If you have studied for an additional 2 years, your application will be reviewed individually.
Master's programme
- Proof of language proficiency
- Proof of general university entrance qualification:
original Bachelor´s degree certificate and academic transcript (Diploma Supplement), each signed and stamped either physically or digitally (verifiable), each with legalization, each with an official translation by a sworn translator, if not issued in German or English
or similar - Photo according to passport photo criteria
- Valid ID card
- Tabular CV

Based on a Bachelor's study programme completed in Afghanistan, admission to a Master's study programme at the UIBK is not possible.
Exception:
Applications for Master's study programme at UIBK with a 4-year Bachelor's and a 2-year Master's study programme completed in Afghanistan will be reviewed individually.
Applications for a Master´s study programme at the UIBK based on a 4-years Bachelor's study programme completed in Bangladesh will be reviewed individually.
Applications for a Master's study programme at the UIBK based on a 3-years Bachelor's study programme completed in Ghana will be reviewed individually.
Applications for a Master´s study programme at the UIBK based on a Bachelor's study programme completed in India will be reviewed individually.
Applications for a Master´s study programme at the UIBK based on a 4-year Bachelor's study programme completed in Nepal will be reviewed individually.
Applications for a Master´s study programme at the UIBK based on an at least 4-years Bachelor's study programme completed in Nigeria will be reviewed individually.
Applications for a Master´s study programme at the UIBK based on a 4-years Bachelor’s study programme completed in Pakistan will be reviewed individually.
Applications for a Master´s study programme at the UIBK based on a 4-year Bachelor's study programme completed in Sri Lanka will be reviewed individually.
Doctoral and PhD programme
- Proof of language proficiency
- Proof of general university entrance qualification:
original Bachelor´s degree certificate and academic transcript (Diploma Supplement) and original Master´s degree certificate and academic transcript (Diploma Supplement), each signed and stamped either physically or digitally (verifiable), each with legalization, each with an official translation by a sworn translator, if not issued in German or English - dissertation's concept, depending on study programme
- Photo according to passport photo criteria
- Valid ID card
