From 14 to 17 September 2021, Prof. Martin Messner and Prof. Christoph Pelger taught, for the third time now, the VHB (German Association for Business Research) PhD course on qualitative research methods in accounting. PhD candidates from various universities in the German-speaking area came to Innsbruck to learn about qualitative research methods in the field of accounting. The course not only provided valuable feedback on students’ research projects but also covered input sessions and the discussion of published work in accounting. In addition to the lively discussions in class, the participants could enjoy traditional Tyrolean cuisine in Innsbruck’s old town and some of them joined a short hike after the course had ended.
