The uWIN – Weapon Reliability Assessment and Supervision – is aimed at psychologists in Austria who would like to undergo subject-specific further training in accordance with the provisions of the 1st Weapon Reliability Ordinance and want to take part in the annually prescribed supervision.

Mag. Robert Gartner will present information on recent amendments to the Weapons Act and psychological reliability assessments from a legal perspective. He will provide first-hand insights into the background, developments, and legislative initiatives in the fields of security and weapons law and will be available to answer questions.
Afternoon, 14:00–18:00
Dr. Selvihan Akkaya, Mag.a will focus on transcultural aspects in medicine and psychiatry, as well as all areas of responsibility within public health.
She will provide an overview of the diverse responsibilities of public health officers and then address weapons bans for health-related reasons. Additionally, she will discuss public health assessments related to road traffic and legal questions connected to health issues. Case studies will be used to stimulate discussion and interdisciplinary exchange, benefiting all participants—following the motto: “Everything you always wanted to ask a public health officer.”
