  Lexicography, lexical semantics, cognitive linguistics, phraseology, philosophy of language

 

• Current projects

  • PhD project on the presentation of word meanings through ostensive aids in the Phrase-based Active Dictionary (PAD), an electronic dictionary for advanced learners and translators (the PAD is part of PhraseBase, a project developed by Giacomini & DiMuccio-Failla since 2020). Main supervisor: Univ.-Prof. Dr. Laura Giacomini; Supervisor: Univ.-Prof. Dr. Pius ten Hacken
  • Collaboration at the PhraseBase project (PI: Laura Giacomini). Main Task: data analysis, compiling of dictionary entries

 

• Teaching specialisations
  Teaching activity in the Bachelor’s program Translation Studies:
  • Introduction to linguistics and communication theory for translators (in German)
  • Translation-orientated language course: structural aspects II Italian (in Italian)
  • Translation-orientated language course: structural aspects III Italian (in Italian)
  • Presentation technique and literature research with AI (in German)

  • Member of the EMT Network working group (European Master's in Translation)
  • Collaboration in the organization of the Workshop PhrasaLex III (10th–12th of July, 2024) at the University of Innsbruck, Department of Translation Studies
