Incoming teachers
The Department of Translation Studies has Erasmus+ agreements with numerous partner universities and also offers teaching mobility programmes for many of them. This kind of international cooperation is supported by the European Commission and is very important to our department as it serves to promote the internationalisation of our members of staff, creates the possibility to learn from each other and enhances our range of courses. We always look forward to getting to know people from our partner universities!
If you are interested in a short-term teaching experience at the Department of Translation Studies in Innsbruck, please contact the responsible department coordinator at your home university. Your coordinator can tell you if there is an Erasmus+ agreement including teaching mobility with our department. If yes, your coordinator will give you the name of your contact person at our department, who you can get in touch with to agree on and plan your participation in a teaching mobility programme. You can also find the names of the relevant person to contact in the list at the end of this page. However, directly getting in touch with one of the contacts below does not mean you do not have to apply for a teaching mobility programme via your department coordinator or, respectively, the office for international relations at your home university.
Please understand that we can only plan teaching mobility stays during our normal lecture periods; a teaching mobility stay in a lecture-free period is not possible at our department. This is because the minimum of eight hours of teaching that should be carried out have to be integrated into normal teaching activities. Here you can find the most important dates of our academic year. Please consider that the many exams that take place in January and June might sometimes make the organisation of teaching mobility stays during these months more difficult. Detailed agreements on appointments can be further discussed with our department coordinators; the same is the case for planning your teaching in Innsbruck.
As far as we are concerned, you do not have to meet any particular deadlines for the planning of your teaching mobility stay here in Innsbruck. However, we would be happy if you could give us adequate notice of your impending stay with us: The earlier you get in touch with us, the more we can help you to plan your stay in Innsbruck. Important: In principal, we have teaching mobility agreements with most of our partner universities, which allows us to conduct one teaching mobility stay per academic year. If your home university wants to finance stays for two or more persons, please do not hesitate to ask us nonetheless; we will then check our capacities and will inform you as soon as possible if we can confirm both/all stays or not. Should we receive several requests from your university for the same time period of time and should your home university be only able to finance one mobility stay, we would kindly ask you to agree internally on who of the colleagues will have the opportunity of participating in a teaching mobility programme. Should your request however refer to a period of time in which we have already confirmed incoming mobility stays, we will – depending on our reception capacities - try to eventually suggest an alternative date for your visit and in this regard thank you for understanding in advance.
For further information, please have a look at the information about teaching mobility programmes available at your home university including all the provisions and guidelines you have to comply with, as your home university is exclusively responsible for handling the funding of your travel and accommodation costs. Our department coordinators will of course sign your teaching mobility agreements, the confirmation of your visit, and any required documentation.

Das INTRAWI führt mit zahlreichen Partnereinrichtungen Agreements, die im Rahmen von Erasmus+ Lehrendenmobilitäten ermöglichen. Diese Art der internationalen Zusammenarbeit wird durch die Europäische Kommission gefördert und liegt dem Institut sehr am Herzen, da sie der Internationalisierung seiner Mitglieder vor Ort dient, ein Lernen voneinander möglich macht und unser Lehrangebot bereichert. Sollten Sie sich für einen Kurzlehraufenthalt am INTRAWI interessieren, so wenden Sie sich bitte zunächst an die verantwortlichen Departmental Coordinators an Ihrer Heimatuniversität. Sie oder er gibt Ihnen Aufschluss darüber, ob ein gültiges Abkommen inklusive Teaching Mobility mit unserem Institut vorliegt. Falls ja, so teilt sie bzw. er Ihnen den Namen Ihrer Ansprechperson am INTRAWI mit, mit der Sie sich zur Vereinbarung und Planung Ihrer Mobilität in Kontakt setzen können. Sie finden die Namen auch in der Liste am Ende dieser Seite; eine direkte Kontaktaufnahme ersetzt allerdings nicht die Beantragung Ihrer Teaching Mobility über die Mobilitätskoordinator:innen bzw. das Büro für internationale Beziehungen in Ihrer Heimatuniversität. Nur sie bzw. er kann Auskunft darüber geben, ob noch ein Platz frei ist. Teaching Mobilities sind nur für eine Person pro Studienjahr und Universität möglich.
Wir bitten um Ihr Verständnis, dass wir Lehrendenmobilitäten nur während unserer üblichen Kurszeiten einplanen können; in der vorlesungsfreien Zeit ist keine Teaching Mobility in Innsbruck möglich. Dies liegt daran, dass die mindestens 8 Stunden Lehre, die hier im Rahmen eines Lehreaufenthaltes zu absolvieren sind, in den üblichen Lehrbetrieb einzubinden sind. Hier können Sie die wichtigsten Termine rund um unser akademisches Jahr einsehen. Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Häufung von Prüfungen im Jänner und im Juni die Planung von Lehraufenthalten manchmal erschwert. Die Terminvereinbarung im Detail erfolgt im Weiteren jedenfalls mit den Departmental Coordinators bei uns am Institut; selbiges gilt für die Planung Ihrer Lehrinhalte in Innsbruck.
Von unserer Seite aus bestehen keine bestimmten Fristen für die Planung Ihrer Gastlehre bei uns. Wir bitten Sie aber um ein großzügig bemessenes Voraviso: Je früher Sie sich mit uns in Kontakt setzen, desto besser können wir mit Ihnen planen. Wichtig: Wir führen im Prinzip mit jeder Partnereinrichtung ein Agreement, das uns die Abwicklung einer Teaching Mobility pro akademischem Jahr erlaubt. Wenn Ihre Heimatuniversität aber gerne Mobilitäten für zwei oder mehrere Personen finanzieren möchte, so fragen Sie gerne dennoch bei uns an; wir prüfen in diesem Fall unsere Aufnahmekapazitäten und geben Ihnen möglichst bald Bescheid, ob wir beide/alle Mobilitäten bestätigen können oder nicht. Sollten parallel mehrere Anfragen aus Ihrer Universität bei uns einlangen und Ihre Heimatuniversität nur eine Mobilität finanzieren können, so bitten wir Sie um eine interne Absprache, wer aus Ihrer Kollegenschaft die Teaching Mobility in Anspruch nehmen wird. Sollte sich Ihre Anfrage hingegen auf einen Zeitraum beziehen, für den wir bereits Incoming-Mobilitäten bestätigt haben, so werden wir Ihnen je nach Aufnahmekapazitäten eventuell einen alternativen Termin für Ihr Kommen vorschlagen und danken für Ihr Verständnis diesbezüglich.
Im Weiteren entnehmen Sie bitte den Informationen Ihrer Heimatuniversität über die Teaching Mobilities alle Vorschriften und Richtlinien, die zu beachten sind, da die Subventionierung Ihrer Reise und Ihres Aufenthalts ausschließlich über Ihre Heimatuniversität abgewickelt wird. Natürlich unterzeichnen unsere Departmental Coordinators aber gerne Ihre Mobility Agreements, Ihre Aufenthaltsbestätigungen usw.

El INTRAWI tiene convenios Erasmus+ con numerosas instituciones, que también permiten la movilidad de docentes. Estos programas de cooperación internacional están promovidos por la Comisión Europea y son muy importantes para el instituto puesto que permiten la internacionalización de su plantilla y sirven además para el intercambio de conocimientos con otros y otras docentes y la diversificación de la oferta de nuestras asignaturas. Nos complace acoger a todos los profesores y todas las profesoras de nuestras universidades asociadas.
Si tiene interés en realizar una estancia temporal de docencia en el INTRAWI, tendrá que dirigirse al coordinador o a la coordinadora de movilidad docente responsable de su universidad de origen, que le confirmará si existe un acuerdo vigente del programa Erasmus+ con nuestro instituto. En caso de que exista, se le remitirá a la persona de contacto dentro del INTRAWI que le ayudará a organizar su estancia. También encontrará los nombres del equipo de coordinación en una lista al final de esta página. Tenga en cuenta que para tramitar con éxito su solicitud es indispensable que acuda al coordinador o a la coordinadora indicados o a la Oficina de Relaciones Internacionales de su universidad de origen.
Le rogamos que comprenda que solo podemos programar estancias de docentes durante las fechas y el horario lectivo del curso. Esto es debido a que las 8 horas de enseñanza que deben impartirse aquí deben integrarse en el horario normal de nuestras clases. Aquí podrá encontrar las fechas más importantes de nuestro curso académico. Tenga también en cuenta que los periodos de exámenes en enero y junio pueden dificultar la planificación de estancias de docencia. Su coordinador o coordinadora Erasmus+ en nuestro instituto será la persona responsable de acordar con usted el horario de sus clases, así como los contenidos de enseñanza que impartirá durante su estancia en Innsbruck.
Nosotros no fijamos plazos concretos para la planificación de la estancia de los profesores de otros países. Sin embargo, rogamos que nos avisen sobre su estancia con suficiente antelación para poder asistirle mejor. Importante: en principio tenemos acuerdos con todas las universidades con las que haya un convenio dentro del programa Erasmus+ que nos permita ofrecer una plaza de movilidad de docencia al año. Sin embargo, si su universidad de origen puede financiar la movilidad de dos o más personas, comprobaremos el número de plazas que quedan a disposición y le informaremos lo antes posible si podemos confirmarlas. En el caso de que su universidad proponga más estancias de las recogidas en el convenio, les rogamos que sea su departamento el que escoja entre los diferentes candidatos. Si su solicitud coincide con un periodo para el que ya hemos confirmado la movilidad de otros profesores internacionales, le propondríamos una fecha alternativa que dependerá de nuestra disponibilidad de plazas. Es imprescindible consultar toda la información facilitada por su universidad de origen acerca de los programas de movilidad de docencia para conocer todas las normas y pautas que se han de seguir. Tenga en cuenta que su universidad de origen será la que se encargue de subvencionar el viaje y su estancia. Por nuestra parte, los coordinadores y coordinadoras Erasmus+ estarán a su disposición para la firma de su acuerdo de movilidad, su confirmación de residencia, y todas las dudas que se le planteen.

L’INTRAWI gère des Accords Erasmus+ avec de nombreuses institutions partenaires, ce qui facilite également la mobilité des enseignants. Ce type de partenariats internationaux est encouragé par la Commission Européenne et reste très important pour notre institut, car il permet l’internationalisation de ses membres sur place, un apprentissage mutuel et une offre de formation enrichie. Nous attendons avec impatience la visite de nos collègues d’universités partenaires !
Si vous êtes intéressé.e par un court séjour d’enseignement à l’INTRAWI, veuillez tout d’abord contacter la coordinatrice ou le coordinateur responsable des mobilités dans votre université d’origine. Elle ou il vous donnera des renseignements à ce sujet, à savoir : s’il existe un accord Erasmus incluant une mobilité enseignante avec notre institut et si des places sont disponibles. Si oui, elle ou il vous communiquera le nom de la personne référente au sein de l’INTRAWI, avec laquelle vous pourrez alors prendre contact afin de convenir d’un entretien et de planifier votre mobilité. Vous trouverez également les noms des personnes responsables sur la liste en bas de page. Toutefois, une prise de contact directe ne remplace pas la demande officielle de mobilité d’enseignement, qui doit être faite auprès de la coordinatrice/du coordinateur de mobilité ou du bureau des relations internationales de votre université d’origine.
Tout d’abord, sachez que nous ne pouvons programmer votre mobilité d’enseignement (minimum 8 heures d’enseignement à dispenser) que pendant la période des cours. Nous vous prions de consulter notre calendrier universitaire. Veuillez noter que la période des examens en janvier et en juin complique parfois la planification de ce genre de séjours. Dans tous les cas, la programmation de votre séjour doit être organisée en détail avec le/la departmental coordinator responsable. Il en va de même pour l’organisation du contenu de vos cours à Innsbruck.
De notre côté, il n’y a pas de date limite spécifique pour la planification de votre séjour d’enseignement. Cependant, n’oubliez pas que : plus vite vous entrerez en contact avec nous, mieux nous pourrons planifier votre séjour ensemble. Il est également important de retenir qu’en principe, nous avons des accords nous permettant de proposer une seule mobilité enseignante par année universitaire. Toutefois, si votre université d’origine souhaite financer la mobilité de deux personnes ou plus, n’hésitez pas à nous contacter. Dans ce cas, nous vérifierons nos capacités d’accueil et vous informerons dans les meilleurs délais de la confirmation, ou non, des deux ou plusieurs mobilités envisagées. Si plusieurs demandes de votre université arrivent en même temps et que votre université d’origine ne peut financer qu’une seule mobilité, nous vous demandons de trouver un accord en interne, au sein de votre établissement, afin de déterminer qui, dans votre équipe, bénéficiera de la place.
Toutefois, si votre demande concerne une période pour laquelle nous avons déjà confirmé des mobilités enseignantes, nous pouvons, en fonction de nos capacités, vous suggérer une autre date pour votre visite. Merci de votre compréhension.
De plus, afin de connaître tous les règlements et toutes les directives à suivre, veuillez consulter les informations de votre université d’origine concernant la mobilité enseignante, la subvention de votre voyage et de votre séjour, étant donné que ces financements sont gérés uniquement par votre université d’origine. Bien entendu, nos departmental coordinators seront à votre disposition pour signer vos accords de mobilité, vos confirmations de séjour, etc.

Nel caso in cui foste interessati ad un soggiorno di breve durata per una mobilità docenti presso l'INTRAWI, vi preghiamo innanzitutto di contattare la persona responsabile per la mobilità internazionale della vostra università di provenienza, la quale vi informerà su eventuali accordi Erasmus+ con il nostro istituto che comprendono anche l‘Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching. In caso positivo, vi sarà comunicato il nome del vostro/della vostra referente dell’Istituto INTRAWI con cui potrete mettervi in contatto per accordarvi riguardo la pianificazione del vostro spostamento. Potete trovare i loro nomi anche nella lista presente alla fine di questa pagina. Attenzione: un contatto diretto con l’università ospitante non sostituisce, tuttavia, la presentazione della domanda dello Staff Mobility for Teaching da consegnare al/alla referente della mobilità internazionale, ossia all’ufficio responsabile delle relazioni internazionali della vostra università di provenienza. Solo la persona responsabile può fornire informazioni sulla disponibilità di posti. La mobilità didattica è prevista solo per una persona in ogni anno accademico e per ogni università.
La mobilità docenti può essere organizzata solamente durante il periodo delle lezioni; non è possibile effettuare un Teaching Mobility ad Innsbruck nei periodi di vacanza. Ciò è dovuto al fatto che le otto ore di tirocinio da svolgere nell’ambito di un soggiorno devono essere integrate all’attività didattica usuale.Potrete prendere visione degli appuntamenti importanti dell'anno accademico sul nostro sito web. Vi preghiamo di tenere conto che l’alta frequenza di esami a gennaio e giugno potrebbero rendere più complicata la pianificazione della mobilità docenti. Un appuntamento preciso sarà fissato con il coordinatore/la coordinatrice Erasmus+ presso il nostro istituto; lo stesso vale per la pianificazione delle lezioni che terrete a Innsbruck.
Non abbiamo delle scadenze precise per pianificare il vostro soggiorno come docente ospite, ma vi preghiamo di organizzarvi con largo anticipo – prima ha luogo il contatto, meglio possiamo pianificare il tutto. Importante: in linea di massima abbiamo un accordo con ogni università partner, che prevede lo svolgimento di un unico Teaching Mobility per anno accademico. Se la vostra università volesse però finanziare mobilità per due o più persone, potrete contattarci liberamente; controlleremo la capacità di ammissione e vi faremo sapere al più presto se potremo confermare le mobilità. Se dovessero arrivarci più richieste da parte della vostra università, ma con la possibilità di accettarne solamente una, vi preghiamo di accordarvi internamente per decidere chi tra i vostri colleghi effettuerà la mobilità docenti. Se la vostra richiesta dovesse corrispondere a un periodo nel quale ci fossero già delle conferme di arrivi, vi potremmo eventualmente proporre date alternative a seconda della nostra capacità di ammissione. Tutti i regolamenti e le direttive sono reperibili nelle informazioni sulla mobilità docenti dell’università di provenienza, in quanto la sovvenzione del viaggio e del soggiorno sarà esclusivamente a cura della vostra università. I nostri coordinatori Erasmus+ firmeranno naturalmente i Mobility Agreements, gli attestati di soggiorno etc.

Outgoing teachers
The Department of Translation Studies has Erasmus+ agreements with numerous partner universities which also enable teaching mobility stays abroad. This type of international collaboration is supported by the European Commission and enhances the dynamism associated with everyday teaching: Trips to our partner universities provide insights into other teaching and learning cultures, promote networking with colleagues abroad, serve to represent our department, and contribute to strengthening our network.
The first step in participating in a teaching mobility programme is to contact the Departmental Coordinators.
This request provides information about whether a valid agreement, including teaching mobility programme, exists with the partner university to which the trip is intended, and whether a mobility stay is still available for the intended period. Teaching mobility is limited to one person per academic year and host university. If a mobility stay is possible, the departmental coordinators will establish contact with a contact person at the host university with whom the mobility stay can be agreed upon and planned.
If and as soon as the host university confirms the mobility stay, a nomination will be made by the departmental coordinator at the IRO (International Relations Office). From this point on, definitive organisation of travel and planning of teaching for the stay can begin: Eight hours of teaching abroad must be completed, and which can be spread over five days of attendance. An additional two travel days may be taken. The person participating in the teaching mobility programme is required to organise travel and accommodation independently and will subsequently be reimbursed by the University of Innsbruck. Please note that the eligible costs can only be claimed if, on the one hand, the University of Innsbruck's climate-related travel guidelines are adhered to and, on the other hand, all formalities for invoicing are followed by the applicants. All information on this can be found in the relevant section of the website of our International Relations Office.
A teaching mobility stay can only be scheduled for periods when courses are held at the respective partner university; a teaching mobility stay is not possible during a partner university’s semester break or holiday period. Detailed scheduling should be arranged with the department coordinators at the host university. Tip: The semester break periods in Innsbruck (e.g. September, February, Easter) often coincide with a partner university’s semester break, making travel planning easier.
We do not have any specific deadlines for planning teaching mobility stays. However, we recommend that you provide generous advance notice: The sooner you contact us, the better you can plan your stay with us and the higher the chances that the partner university’s capacity can still be fully utilized and that they will respond positively. Important: If multiple requests for a teaching mobility stay are received at the same host university, we kindly ask for your understanding that we can only nominate one person per academic year. This is usually the person who requests it first. However, there is also an external factor to consider: If the overall university demand for teaching mobility stays is very high and the total budget allocated for it has been reached, the International Relations Office will intervene and give priority to those who have not yet completed a teaching mobility stay in the relevant academic year. In principle, however, all teachers can apply for Erasmus funding for a teaching mobility stay once per semester. This also applies per se to external lecturers, although in this case, prior consultation with the International Relations Office via the Departmental Coordinator is necessary.
We are receiving increasing numbers of inquiries regarding Erasmus funding for purely professional development stays for teaching and research staff, i.e., trips without a teaching obligation at the host university. This funding scheme exists in many EU countries, but not for a mobility stay from Austria.
General staff members, on the other hand, have the option of requesting Erasmus funding for staff mobility programmes. Since we do not have specific agreements in this regard, each case requires individual clarification. This is initially dealt with by the Departmental Coordinator, who will first contact the International Relations Office and then the desired host university.
