ECTS credits

ECTS credits reflect the workload of a course. Each time you successfully complete a course, you are awarded the number of ECTS credits specified in the curriculum. ECTS credits make it possible to compare the workload of study programmes across universities in the EU and beyond, supporting international mobility and recognition of academic achievements.

The University of Innsbruck and the ÖH (student union at the University of Innsbruck) make it easier for you to start your studies! Short explanatory videos help you take your first steps at the university. Here you can find out what ECTS credits are.

The curriculum

The curriculum is the basis of a degree programme. A look at the curriculum will give you a detailed overview of the structure, content, examination regulations and qualification profile of your study programme. You can find out which curriculum applies to you in LFU:online under “my study programmes”.

Timetable creation

Here you can access the course catalogue. For each degree programme, there is an overview showing which modules are recommended in which semester – the recommended study plan. You can find this via the programme overview. In Bachelor's and diploma programmes, make sure to look out for StEOP (introductory and orientation) courses.
