Anke Bockreis heads the Waste Treatment and Resource Management research area at the Department of Infrastructure. Her research focuses on the development of biological and mechanical-biological waste treatment methods and their optimization. She also works on concepts for a circular economy and implements projects in cooperation with partners.

About
Anke Bockreis is Professor of Waste Treatment and Resource Management. She is a civil engineer and completed her doctorate at TU Darmstadt.
From 1996 to 2009, she worked at TU Darmstadt before being appointed to the University of Innsbruck. From 2012 to 2020, she was Vice Rector for Infrastructure at the University of Innsbruck. Anke Bockreis is a member of the board of Africa-UniNet.
