Media Summit 2022
Update: Unfortunately, due to the current situation (Covid-19), the Media Summit had to be cancelled for 2020 and 2021 and has been postponed to 21-23 April 2022.
European Media Summit in Lech am Arlberg (postponed to 21-23 April 2022)
At the international media summit in Lech am Arlberg from 21 to 23 April, top-class experts from journalism, politics and business will discuss the consequences of the standstill and the reality after the coronavirus pandemic (www.mediengipfel.at ).
The University of Innsbruck is taking part in the media summit with its own expert discussion panel on the topic of "Generation Protest?-The challenges for politics and the media".
As part of a scholarship programme, selected students prepare this focus and are responsible for the moderated expert discussion. The focus will be on the reasons for the emergence of protest movements with a focus on "Black Lives Matter", "Friday's for Future", the analysis of the protest channels used, the analysis of the (targeted) involvement of (key) actors to create publicity, goals and (expected) success of the protest actions.
