Media summit 2021
Update: Unfortunately, due to the current situation (Covid-19), the Media Summit had to be cancelled for 2020 and has been postponed to 02-04 December 2021.
European Media Summit in Lech am Arlberg (postponed to 02-04 December 2021)
At the international media summit in Lech am Arlberg from 2 to 4 December, top-class experts from journalism, politics and business will discuss the consequences of the lockdown and the reality after the coronavirus pandemic (www.mediengipfel.at ).
The University of Innsbruck is taking part in the media summit with its own expert discussion panel on the topic of "Generation Protest?-The challenges for politics and the media".
As part of a scholarship programme, selected students are preparing this focus and will be responsible for the moderated expert discussion. The focus will be on the reasons for the emergence of protest movements with a focus on "Black Lives Matter", "Friday's for Future", the analysis of the protest channels used, the analysis of the (targeted) involvement of (key) actors to create publicity, goals and (expected) success of the protest actions.
