About us
The Language Centre at the University of Innsbruck promotes multilingualism, intercultural competence and the ability of students, staff and external participants to engage effectively on an international level. Our aim is to help learners use languages confidently and in a practical way - in their studies, in their careers and in international exchanges.
Our programme is based on the latest research in foreign language teaching and combines communicative learning with cultural understanding. Practical teaching methods, qualified tutors and a learner-centred approach create the ideal conditions for long-term learning success.
As a university service facility, we make an active contribution to internationalisation and to the promotion of an open, diverse and linguistically connected university and social culture.
The current course programme comprises 16 languages and more than 80 courses. Since our foundation in 2002, around 60,000 participants have successfully attended our language courses.
