Recognition / Allocation of Exams
Univ.-Prof. Dr. Aart Middeldorp is the Associate Dean of Studies (Studienbeauftragter für Informatik) and is responsible for the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Computer Science and for the extension degree programme in Computer Science.
Ass.-Prof. Dr. Peter Thoman is is responsible for the Teacher Training Programme Computer Science.
Univ.-Prof. Dr. Tim Netzer is the Dean of Studies of the Faculty of Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics (MIP) and is responsible for the Doctoral Programmes in Computer Science.

- Print out ALL forms (a to d) and take them to Aart Middeldorp during his office hours:

Procedure for BA/MA Teacher Training Programme Computer Science
- Complete forms (a) and (b) in full - for (b), please also note the information below.
- Print outALL forms (a to d) and take them to Peter Thoman:

Make an appointment. - For the courses listed under (b), which are not listed in the course catalogue of the University of Innsbruck (and therefore not listed under d), also bring official information (ECTS points, content...).
- A recognition is not required for courses that are completed according to an earlier curriculum and stated in an equivalence list.
- The exams can be transferred by the student.

Courses that are completed during the Computer Science studies may be used individually.
In this case a Confirmation of Allocation / Zuordnungsbestätigung is required:
- Fill out (b)
- Submit (b), (c) and (d) by email from your student account to the Examination Office (Prüfungsreferat) and mention Confirmation of Allocation (Zuordnung von Prüfungen) for <study programme> in the header.
Automatic notification when the exam is recorded by the Examination Office. Since the processing of notifications takes a certain amount of time, recognitions are not immediately visible in lfu:online.
- Exams must be equivalent in workload (ECTS credits) and content to the courses prescribed in the curriculum.
- Anintroductory seminar (Proseminar)without the corresponding lecture will not be recognised.
- Learning outcomes of non-formal learning that cannot be recognised according to § 78. 1 and 2 University Act can be validated/recognised up to a maximum of 60 ECTS credits.
- The Standards and procedures for validation of non-formal learning have been defined in the statute section Validation.
Eligible for receiving credits:
Courses at the Language Centre (max 5 ECTS)
advanced level or higher (from B1 onwards): English, French, Italian, Spanish
basic level or higher: all other languages (except German and mother tongue)
With a graduation from the schools listed below a recognition of 5 ECTS for Interdisciplinary Skills is possible

Note that for the Examination Subject Deepening Computer Science courses with a total of 13 semester hours and at least 15 ECTS credits are required (chosen from the compulsory or elective modules of the BA Computer Science).
