Yes, but this requires an authorisation check by Admission Department.
You can find a complete list of the Bachelor's/Master's or Diploma programmes of the University of Innsbruck that can be extended at Newsletter 799 from 04/06/2024.
At least 30 ECTS-Credits must have been earned in the programme to be extended.
The Computer Science extension programme focuses primarily on aspects of Software and Data Engineering from the Bachelor's degree programme in Computer Science. It is possible to transfer to Bachelor's programme Computer Science without losing ECTS credits.
The extension programme is primarily aimed at students who wish to expand their knowledge and skills in the field of Computer Science.
Some Courses of the extension programme are part of the regular Bachelor's degree programme in Computer Science. However, where possible, care is taken to ensure that appropriate groups of proseminars are offered at off-peak times.
In addition, a study duration of 4 semesters is recommended.
From a formal and legal point of view, it is possible to enrol for the Computer Science extension programme in the summer semester. However, we recommend starting in the winter semester because the Recommended study programme is geared towards this.
