Exciting insights into modern transport technologies - Computer science students visit SWARCO

On October 23, students from the University of Innsbruck participated in an exclusive SWARCO Bootcamp at the company's headquarters in Wattens.

Around 15 students, together with postdocs from the Department of Computer Science, gained in-depth insights into current developments in modern transportation technologies.

Following a presentation of the company's history – from the first glass particles in road markings to Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) – SWARCO experts presented current research and development projects. The focus was particularly on AI-supported methods for automating imaging processes in road traffic.

The students developed their own ideas and concepts for future mobility solutions in subsequent group work sessions. The bootcamp thus offered not only valuable insights from a technical perspective, but also an excellent opportunity for networking between university and industry.

The SWARCO AG is also a member of the consortium of the AIM AT Endowed professorship for Edge AI.
